So who knows where to get a tire vulcanized around north AL?

Just start calling around, if you have a local Goodyear dist Wingfoot they might. The TN boys use some craszy vulcanizing tire plug things...

look for a tire retreading company... most of the time you will have to do the "cash money, no ticket" deal or grind the dot numbers off....

I have always had luck with just telling them it is an offroad tire. Once they see it they know you are telling the truth.

Did some calling around - friends dad is a salesman at local firestone dealership. Big skidder tires and the like. They say they will do it for $50 - not bad I thought. Just have to wait a week for it as they ship it off to BHM shop.

Our Firestone store here sends them to BHM to get vulcanized. I had a Krawler done once and it worked great. Probably the same place.

We use McNuts Tire on 278 between Atalla and Boaz.He's right at the top of what they call Rock Mountian on the left going up the mt.
