toyota sr5 gauges

so the guages in my truck suck and dont work. so a kid at school gave me a sr5 cluster from an 87 carbed 4runner. my rig is a 85 efi pickup. i put it in and all the guages went straight to max, the tach and speedo did nothing. when i hit my blinkers you could here them clicking but the arrows wouldn't come up. same with the lights. when you have the key on acc, all the little warnings come up. so will the cluster work? do i need to change some wires around? or am i sol?

i just plugged everything in. you installed it

Ahhh---I had to relocate a few wires in the cluster plug ins but I would be damned if I can remeber what

Hit up the local library and get the wiring diagrams for the two years. They give exellend detail of each plug, the wire color, and what the wire is. Probably just have to move a couple wires around.
