I am building a Jeep with a LT1, 700r4 & dana 300 4to 1. after the Jeep is running for a couple minutes when I put the jeep in park or in reverse it is making a loud noise (kind of a ratcheting noise) I pulled the pan today and do not see anything that appears to be loose or bent. anybody else experience a issue like this? thanks for any info.

sounds like your shifter needs adjustment, that noise is the parking gear not fully engaging. just like if you try to put it in park when your not fully stopped.

may sound stupid but is you transfer case in neutral?

I was wondering about the shifter I am using a B/M mega shifter. The transfer case is in High for the rear and neutral for the front. It is a twin stick dana 300.
