weber carb tricks?

any one have any trick beside turn the carb around and adding a reg.
I talk to some guy at the fair grounds last year something about drilling and tapping? i could not find any on the web but hopefully someone can help me!

Yes i am working on EFI as well but it will be about a year NEW MOTOR and all!

I tried everything to make a weber work--down to drilling and redoing the vent system (reason it acts up on hills) and never was able to get anything to work.... best thing I ever did was throw it away...
