i am curious to hear what you guys think is the best wheel base for around the NW.

i just sold my cherokee and bought a chevy short bed and want to shorten the wheel base but want to know numbers first.

what do yall think?

My flatfender is 80" center to center long, and 68" outside to outside of tires wide.

I enjoy my wheelbase for the squirrel around factor.

Although I plan on keeping this rig, when I build another wheeler it will be closer to a Toyota in length. Less pucker factor on the really steep climbs, and easier to "pop up" over vertical obsticals.

If I only wheeled Eastern Wa I would rather have a Yota.

My yota and tow rig are within 5" of each other... :haha:

The yota is 128.5" currently but it may get shortened up an inch, we'll see how the front suspension shakes out...

You used to have a 76" wheelbase?:eeek: I thought stock was about 80.

Not giviin ya ****, just curious.

He has a metric tape measure. He must of messed on on the convertion...:fawkdancesmiley:

Yep, 1930mm. That's why sami stuff looks like fullsize under it. :haha:

I think really, the wheelbase should be determined by the overall size of the rig. And having the same wheelbase as everybody else isn't always a good thing.
