Found a buyer for the old LP chevy 60 housing. She's been a tough ol girl but it's time for something more. As much as I'd like to build a 14 bolt front, it's just not in the cards this go around. So, I'm putting together a HP passenger drop 60 using a lot of my old parts and a some new.

05+ Ford SD Dana 60 center section
3.75 OD 3/8 axle wall tubes
Artec Truss and ram mount
Crane C's (had these on the shelf for a few years)
Crane Knuckles (from old axle)
CTM 300m drive home shafts & CTM joints (from old axle)
TTF/ Wilwood brake set up (from old axle)
Yukon 5.13 gears & spool
Mark Williams Yoke
 
Progress has been slow with work, side work and travel season for work gearing up. I've got the old tubes out of the center section and working on getting the mount cut off now. But gathering parts right now as well.

Nah, thought about it but I've really only had issues with ring & pinion failures. Plus I didn't want to regear front and rear to 5.38's. Guess I'll find out now if the pinion shafts are up to task....
 
Dunno what your plans are for a truss, but we have OEM cad data for that axle, it would be super easy to whip out some profiled plates and you fill in the rest.

I hear BTF is working on a new 'C to C' truss for a Pass. Side drop HP....

I may even know a guy that has one on his 60 if you'd like to see some pics thumb.gif

I'm planning on the same Artec set up I had before. But thanks for the heads up. I joined yall's FB group. AWESOME STUFF
 
Little progress. New short side tube is pressed in. Long side wouldn't fit in the press and I wanted to room to finish cutting the factory link mount off

Crane C's cleaned up and on the tube slugs. Used an induction oven to heat up the c's. They slid right onto the tube.

Got the rest of the old link mount cut off and cleaned up.
