was there a thread on DIY beadlocks a while back? i searched and couldnt find. wondering whos got the best deal for some 15" with all the harware i need to convert my steelies. simple, lightweight not mud rings.:beer:

the stock outer plastic seals, if you could call them that, wouldnt go around the larger diameter neck of the ten factory shafts i put in last spring, so i been goin without. can anyone confirm which of these fancy seals will work...

buddies SAS'n his '91 montero. would 4.56s work fine with the 4.6somethin we think is in the 9" rear end? would it slip on the ice more noticibly than a perfect matching set, or is that splitting poobhairs?

anybody been riding? post up some pics. i just been feeling out my cheap little junkyard sled lately. took it up to my parents place over christmas for some rips around the lake. got a better motor to put in it, but this one rips supisiingly good for low compression.:beer:

just mounted up a ps steering cooler from the junkyard and noticed it was 5/16 in/out (tranny cooler), and my ps line is 3/8. i can get it hooked up with 5/16 hose fine. should i run it, or get a 3/8 one? its on the low pressure line.

whats the skinny on fancy braided ss brake lines? are they worth it or should i just replace mine with the rubber ones? also if you know of a good vendor do tell. thanks:beer:

i didnt search much so sorry if it's been covered. i know sthil is the best but not really sure why. i saw husquavarna saws at lowe's last time i was there and they looked purdy decent. i think about 18" will do me, as i need to cut firewood, yet be able to pack the thing around for wheeling...

one thing i always liked about the cherocars is the center consul shifter. works good for rocking rig back n forth in hairy situations and whatnot. you kinda get a feel for it so you dont always hafta look down to get it in the right gear. any auto guys out there who can work a column shift...

i vaguely remember reading someplace about the 36s being taller than the 37s, in the 15" rim size. the specs do show them taller/wider. what gives? im guessing with rig weight, the 37s dont squat as much??

i hate it when you come to a spot in a more difficult trail where last time you almost got stuck on this big log in the trail, and now its sawed clear out of the way. "well this trail's gotten pretty lame, now where do we go...." people might think they're doing wheelers a favor or somethin...
