I wonder if the Willy's will be done first, but I got your text. You got a trailer!!!

I can still fire up the Runner and drive. I need the power steering to make it easier, but I do not need it. I can go wheeling right now, can the willy's?:redneck:

I still got a tranny. Wassuupp?

I'm going to come get that when Crash is ready for me to bring the little toy home to do a little body work and paint. That way he can match up the drivtrain and do what he needs.

I hope it won't be long.

Jackson's son is now waiting for the Willy's to be done. Gibby is in a retirement home and totally forgot about the whole Willy's thing. It is now up to Jackson to have the project done before his son get's old enough! :D:D:D

Sorry but this thing is taking for ever. Well hopefully Jackson will have this when he turns 16. This way he can drive!

Ordered today.

No presents yet--but I have a bunch of pics and did some creative work today on it :redneck:

Ok time for some catchup. I got the cage fully welded finally--damn I am definately getting old and playing monkey isn't as easy as it used to be,lol..
Front fenders are welded with some cross supports.

My plan for holding the grill assembly worked like a champ. Just drilled/tapped and walla--grill is nicely held in place

When the fenders left I made sure to grab the shiney hold down clampy thingys(come on--I am a toy guy) for the hood. I simply drilled/tapped the tube.
gmb169.jpg

The one and only thing that concerns me with the fenders is side support or there lack of. I still need to figure out a piece of tube that goes from fender to fender over the motor but tits going to be a tight fit. I can't get that done till the motor issue is 100% reolved.

Hood closed with the shiney hood hold down thing a ma bobs in place.

Hey crash does that grill mount with just that one scre or is it still mounted to the frame. I made mine full float off the fenders. I was just wondering how you did this one?

Nevermind I see how you did it.

I ended up drilling the seat mounting holes a tad bigger which really aided in getting the seats in/out. My origional size was just a tad too small and made for a workout to remove them.
But here is how they look with both seats in the far back position.

And both seats in the far forward positions. The passenger has 3 different locations and the drive has 5

And this was a hard one and took some thought. I looked at a number of locations to place the battery. Under the hood just was not an option. I looked at sinking it down between the seats but changed my mind. But here is what I came up with. Its close to done but I ran out of material for the retention portion of it. But it should do the trick.
