Mike, your work ethic, and attention to detail are second to none. I never see anything but 110% on everything you work on. You just kick ass and take names. Right on man!!!:awesomework:

Well I paid the kids to wash the "MUD" off it --did you get those studs ordered?

lol....tell the kids I have some cool stuff from work I will give them when Im there next.

The studs, washers, cone washers and nuts are on the way there. Also, need to get the rear driveshaft back over to Best Drivelines. I will try to get Frankie to get that from you.

Anything else you need? Let me know and I will get it coming your way.

Thanks, Bill

I have not pulled the front apart--but can you get frankie to grab the rebuild kit for the front you have sitting at your place--in case I need it and he can grab the driveshaft at that time..

Will do....also the studs and stuff should be there tomorrow.

cant get a hold of Frankie....do you need that rebuild kit? If so, I will get another one ordered and sent your way. You recieved the studs already I hope....

SO time to get updated. Well after the first weekend of wheelin it---here is the only real failure. Now one thing you gotta remember--always check your studs till they set into place. This was one thing I failed to remind bill about--but like anything its all about maintaining the rig. Well its kinda funny really---all weekend long I only had one cahnce to wheel sac up with bill. He stops and says he can't turn. Well all 7 studs were loose with one broken--doh!!!!

So first was to get the rig clean--damn. Well the kids got paid to wash it---should have seen the piles of crap on the ground--damn...

I had bill get me the ARB stud kit--these things really are nice...

boosted183.jpg

So I got the arms off and inspected the upper trunnion bearing and they are fine and dandy with very little water intrusion or any damage..

First trick to get the broken one out--and I have the tool of tooles from broken removal. Its a straight cut easy out that you can turn either way..

boosted184.jpg

Now the trick with these is to drill all the way thru the part you are removing so you can easily remove the broken piece off the tool..

boosted185.jpg

So I got the new studs inand everything torqued to 100 foot pounds--so make sure to keep up on them after or before every run bill :awesomework:

boosted186.jpg

I also removed the u-bolts and cut them down.

boosted187.jpg

boosted188.jpg

And the pile of crap that fell off even with washing the piss outa the rig.

boosted189.jpg

I also got the shock towers done and now should not have an issue with shock travel (roughly 2.5" drop of the tower)

boosted190.jpg

So I also got the parts for the ARB that were kindly delivered by chris himself--again thanks chris :awesomework:. So I got the rear torn apart and the carrier out of the third..

boosted191.jpg

And thats where I ended up last night..

Haha, yeah....all week end long of waiting to wheel with you cut short by some lame studs. :;

The rig did everything I asked it to do and more. I cant wait to get back home to wheel it again.

Bill

100ftlbs on the studs? Mine's torqued to 70ft lbs (per my histeer maufacturer's spec, and factory IIRC), and have not had an issue---checked multiple times...then again, my rig is only runnin' 35's on a 3000 lb rig...:D

Hey Mike,

Frankie is trying to get a hold of you to pickup the rear driveline so he can have it redone.

Anything else we need at this point or are we all good? I plan on being there first weekend of Sept as I have a doctors appointment then. Im hoping to buy a cheap tow rig and possibly a new trailer then as well so i can get that junk out of your shop... :awesomework:

Let me know if there is anything you need....

Thanks, Bill
