And that's where i'm at so far. next on the list is a cage, new seats and 5 points and some skid plates. Not necessarily in that order. It's a work in progress but im having fun with it. I think the worst part is that almost every part i have put on the jeep cost more than the jeep did. ha

My cherocar cost 100 bucks and I drove t home......my tally as of now has been around 6000 an still no Dana 60s :fawkdancesmiley:

Looks good, how's that tranny doing?

YUP!! Thats a J, E, E, P  for ya. Had'm my hole life 42 plus years, and I'm finlly starting to get the cheep jeep thing ( TOYOTA ), But, I will be keepen the Jeeeps for their SEXAPEEL, Nice build you got going so far ( Just Empty Every Poket) and REPEAT REPEAT REPEAT youget the idea.:corn::beer::puke::awesomework:

Tranny seems to be holding up fine. I've heard they are pretty week but I tend to try and stay off the skinny pedal. We'll see how it goes I guess.

Yeah I swapped mine, an 88, to the external slave ax15......pita o a job but done. I'm liking the shitbird tires! You shoul southern cut them so you can blow that rearend :fawkdancesmiley:

The old wagon I had, I had a custom 6" lift 35-10.50-16 ssr's dana 30/35 488 and lockrights
Never had a problem, just got to know when to get it and when to let out.

I love the 2dr Im currently building a 2dr my self. 3" lift dana 44/44 37" MTR alot a tube and alot of remodeling to the sheetmetal.

ITs really a love hate relationship with a cherokee. I love that there cheep to buy/ build. But I hate that the body/frame dont last.

What do you think of the ultimate sliders from jcr?

I really like them so far. They seem to give you better clearance than most the other sliders I've seen. Having said that I only just finished installing them yesterday, so other than using them to lift the jeep up I haven't bashed them off any rocks or anything yet. They seem very tough though they don't flex or twist or move at all. They were a PITA to install by myself but I got it done.

I've been putting the sliders through their paces they are holding up quite well. My steering box and the front portion of my unibody on the other hand needs some attention.

To stiffen the front up is ALL about the bumper and the mounting. My mounts on mine go back like 2 feet and have about a dozen bolts on each, including tieing the trac bar mount and steering box tied in to it.....Only way to go on cherocars.

Where we're you before I broke my ****? Haha. No this is my first xj so I'm still figuring some things out. The bumper mounts now only go back about 6" but soon the will go back about 2 feet and the whole front will be plated and welded.

Lol, sorry. It's ok though, I used to blew through boxes constantly.... Building a cherokee is a lot experimentation.
