Yes discs are worth the coin...Discs can also be had for cheep if your crafty with obtaining the parts used in kits from other sources.

My local junkyard is kind of slim pickins though. Or I could be over looking the cars in search of other cars when I've been down there.

That pinion gear looks too deep to me, suppose to be in the middle of that ring gear. Did it make contact on the carrier, get that depth first then set ring gear. If you take your time and set it up right you warrentee yourself. Shops sometimes do it and throw it back out $$$$.

I ended up paying somebody to set them up. Thanks though.

Got the rear axle finished this weekend. The front got started but the long shaft contacts the crosspin about a 1/16" after the large diameter of the shaft goes past the fron edge of the seal. Can it ride like that or do I need to move it and do a martack so it doesn't contact the crosspin?
