Zero turn mower

HUSTLER! Super Z is the **** but prob a lot more mower then you need. Check them out. They started the zero turn game.

Here at work they prob have 50 hustlers. My dad was the mechanic that work on all them. That's what he bought. Out here if you can walk they will let you mow. They are beat to **** but keep trucking.

Dad and brother both have Super Z's 31 hp 60 in deck. I don't see how you can get any better mower. That being said I didn't have 10K to spend on a mower and I bought a Raptor SD. By no means a super z but for what I do I'm happy.

If your close look out of state no tax and might get a deal. We all bought for GA and I saved 1k bucks on mine and they saved close to 3k.

Ain't nothing that'll touch a scag. They're heavy all steel? I ran same three for about 8 years and other than some routine maintenance not a single problem. They'll stick on any hill you put them on and lay down some grass.

Scag is a good mower. But Exmark or Hustler is the real beef. I help my brother from time to time and when he sold scag and got hustler is was night and day.

Dixie Chopper and Ferris love the VTC on the Dixie but you can't beat the ride on a Ferris, for the last four years if I have mowed and landscape these are what we have used. Scag is also great I have mowed with these in the past my neighbor who's a ninety year old farmer uses a commercial grade John Deere either of these mowers have taken a **** ton of abuse. The Hustler is also a good but you can only get the parts from Hustler, this includes the blades.

Also not to shy you away from the zero turn but Snapper Pro has a damn good 52 inch cut walk behind that you can get jungle wheels for.

Hands down EXMARK! I have three of them. Depending on how big your property is, either way I would stick with Exmark. That is if you have an ace hardware that sells them locally. I prefer my 60 inch Lazer if you got BIG ****. If you don't have a ton of grass and have hills and such WALK BEHIND all the way. Can put on any angle and cut, and of course you get tha Velky to ride on behind it. I tell people all the time that are thinking about getting started in the long business, always get a walk on firstc ALWAYS.. Everyone wants a zero turn sit down, then they get it and realize that they have a **** ton of weed eating. Walk behind will go anywhere. Really depends on how much grass you have in the terrain if it's flat or not. Nothing messes with my 60" exmark. I have a 60, 52, and a 48 walk behind. No issues at all with any of them really. Get a mulching kit and go to town! thumb.gif

My grandfather is suppose to be getting a Kubota demo to try out this morning. 54" commercial grade with a Kohler engine. Anyone have some experience with these?

I imagine it will be good equipment. Probably the same motor that's on one of mine. Like stated above they all make different grades. Get the commercial line. I know it's half the price to get a residential mower, believe me there's a reason.. I don't see Kabota putting a junk out really. But all I have ever ran was Exmark. 2 with Kohler motors and one with a kawasaki.

The quality and performance of the exmark is where its at. I wish I had bought one when I was looking for my zero turn. I did buy commercial grade but it's not near an exmark.

Hustler for the win.. They're just more of an HD industrial mower than any of the others. Hydraulics, blade speeds, deck gauge thickness and they run 16 mph.
