Whatever you think Tony. The only chevy anything on my junk is a 1 wire alternator and it failed on me once a couple years ago but I've got a new msd 160 amp I scored for a 100 but it's got a vbelt pulley and I need a serpentine pully and just haven't got it yet. But we will see what you think Saturday after I show you how to do some

Put my spare small joint driveline back in to do some rideing tomorrow

One thing I have never understood is why so many people build/install driveshafts that mount the slip yoke at the pinion flange?

I do it sometimes because you get one duce driveshaft and cut it in half, then cut ther other one ton shaft ( or whatever your using) and you can make both shafts for your rig

exactly right and it works and has worked for years so don't be throwing off on my **** buddy

Ok maybe I'll re phrase it. Not raggin on your setup. I was curious why the "thing" to do is mount it in that orientation. I picture rocks beatin the snot out of that yoke and sleeve plus sometimes the whole weight of the rig resting on that yoke. Wearing the splines out on the shaft etc..

its cool man. I have just ran it that way because it's what I had lying around but I'll swap ends with it on my new shaft

No worries. I know the KOH guys run them that way so if they break a rear joint they only have to carry a yoke. In all honesty it may be the best way
