Guns: What Do You Carry

I'm going to ask a possible dumb question for you guys with glocks. Do you have a round chambered at all times? I have a few guns but carry mostly a SW Bodyguard. The trigger has a long and hard pull compared to the glock. Or a lot of guns really. Anyway I carry it loaded all the time. With the sensitive glock trigger I'd feel Leary. So educate me please.

I carry my 26 and 30 hot but only in a kydex holster. I'm not the least bit concerned. Not a single one of my guns had ever gone bang under its own power.

Right now it's either a Kimber Ultra Raptor or a Ruger LCR depending on what I'm wearing.

But I picked up 3 possible new carry guns this week. I may add to the rotation. I traded for a Glock 27, and PSA had a deal that I couldn't pass up on both a Sig P938, and a Kahr CW380. Both were well below dealer price.

Chambered round. If I ever need it, I want as little extra to think about as possible. Draw, aim, pull trigger.

That 938 looks slick. I carried a 238 for a while and liked it. Sold that to buy the glock 26.

And if you carry a pistol without a round chambered you might as well not carry. If you have time to chamber a
Round you probably have time to get out of that situation requiring a gun. Just my .02. And a glock doesn't have a fully cocked striker, my HK has basically a full cocked striker and I'm not worried at all about negligent discharge. I don't pull the trigger it doesn't go bang!

I always keep one chambered in my Glock. Watched a video once where the abused one pretty hard and it never went off. The safeties are all built into a Glock I believe.

A friend from work reccommended Sticky Holsters to me. I don't have one yet, be says he loves his. They're about $25 on amazon. I plan to order a few for my different guns. They're like a pocket holster, but you can carry them IWB because they stick to fabric and don't slide. They have several different sizes, and you can look on their site to see what fits your particular gun.

I agree with you. I was curious after I was at local gun shop and guy let me see the block trigger pull vs my SW. It was so smooth it made me wonder how people carry them. As mentioned earlier in this post...I'm gonna hold out for hopefully the 9mm carry version.

S&W Wyatt deep cover .38 with clip grip so no need for a holster. Has the sweetest trigger
