• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

"Half an inch off" (budget) rockwell build

I've done most of this with a Lincoln 110v welder. I've recently acquired a miller auto set 180. Now I just look at the flux welds and cry a little. :'( I have faith in all the welds but they sure are not as pretty as the new miller.

I'm slowly working on this I was worried about the angle of propane bottles so I changed the mount. I actually prefer this. They roll in from the rear the. Just get locked in.

I've officially hit the "running out of f#cks" stage of the build. It's been two years since I e wheeled anything besides a rhino. :gay: if anyone cuts up a perfectly good rig to make another make sure you are ready for it.

Got a couple of little things done.
Driveshafts. Yep that's a 1410 yoke welded to 2 x 2 tubing.

My steering column is 1.5 tube with a 3/4 shaft inside. Apparently, they don't make a bushing to go 3/4 to 1.25. So I improvised.

The b piller spread out as much as they are makes this chassis look really long but it's not.

So I'm out of money. But have determination to get this done. I have a roll of 3/4 hydraulic hose for my business. So with $20 worth of plumbing and I have my radiator plumbed. Is 3/4 too restrictive? :dunno: I let you know.

So I have this power steering reservoir I've been wanting to use but have a stock pump and don't want to replace a working pump. So I had an ideal to drain res into top of pump. I had to come up with a simple mount. I'm happy with it should have plenty of capacity.

Had an ideal to help under dash. I bought the biggest lock washer I could find and opened them up a little. Welded them under dash to hold any wires or hoses up.

Little center council action. It is not exactly a wodlee original but it will hold my buttons.
