I'm building my new axle for front and rear doing a pair of 609's I figure thows will handle 40"in tires and a v8. Thats just me tho. I'm right now running a lp60 and haven't had a single problem with it.

Either 609's or LP60

So how soon is the LP60 going to be for sale?

I would say in about 2 or less weeks. Its out of a 77fullsize ford 4.10's welded rear diff and it has trussing set up for a 4 link on it. Heres a pic let know I was just gonna tho it in my pile of maybe axles for another project.

Dynatrac ProRock 60 (high pinion)

Custom housing was designed for high lubrication in a high pinion. Heavy reinforced ribs for strength. Widely used. Good customer service. Great ground clearance. There are probably a dozen guys here running them and I've yet to hear a bad word.

I dunno what he wants for is, but low-pinion 60s with drum brakes are worth about $100. Figure you can run your existing shafts and locker, once the housing gets narrowed, which should add a second $100 (give or take) to narrow. Add in the cost of the new ring gear (standard rotation) and the bearing kit. Probably can swap out the brakes while your at it.

and sorry about edit'n your post, I was trying to quote you, not edit you.

Yep at this point I want to get the Jeep back on the road/trail. So it is either fix the CRD or get a LP60 or 14bolt and do it cheap for now. Then start saving for some 609's maybe.

If thats the case I would go with what I voted for and what others have suggested---LP 60 and be done...
