    We have a 4dr Dakota with 4.7/5speed and really like it. It doesn't get the best mileage (14-17 usually) but is really comfortable and hauls people/stuff easily. I'd buy another one, no question.

    That's how I roll too. Which drivetrain is in the chebby? When it's time to chop the back off maybe just use a HB extended cab and toob bed? What does semi-broken mean?

    Sorry just saw this. I don't but I know people that do, I bought a fixer-upper house and that takes all the time/$$. I like how this turned out! Cops hassle you about tire coverage? They've been pretty nitpicky up here.

    I think those Datsuns are the coolest thing Nissan/Datsun ever built! I used to have a '73 I was going to slam but just got tired of messing with it. Someday I'll find me a clean extended cab with the 5 speed and disc brakes, and go to town. Sweet deal!

    So you swapped in the 4.63 gears or the manual tranny? All manuals, and some automatics, until the newer generation rigs came with 4.38 gears in the diffs. So you'll be going SUA with 44044s and leaving the body lift for the desired 7" of lift? Or pulling that out and going SOA on stock...
