Started the wife's '13 escape 2.0 ecoboost today and got a huge cloud of blue smoke. Went away after initial start up. I originally assumed pcv valve. But, apparently these don't have one? No engine code. No leaks. 90k miles. Always ran full synthetic. I keep going back to rings or turbo seals. But at 90k?? Anybody have any experience with these?

Thanks in advance.

That's the plan. I just didn't know if anybody had any first hand experience with these motors.

The ecoboost engines will accumulate oil in the intercooler and the intake manifold. And alot of times an air filter can be the cause.

Not questioning, just trying to understand. How would the air filter cause it? I saw where a lot of people are adding oil catch cans to help with this.

Makes sense. I'm going to start on it tonight. I've noticed it only does it at first start of the day. Looking more and more like valve stems seals.
