On spindles, I suggest painted aluminum so they can't rust. Or at least powercoat. I have wrought iron on my front porch and it has to be painted every year.

Little curious, Why the post up next to the house? Was there some reason you didnt just use a band bolted to the house? Looks good by the way.

I just wanted it independant of the house. Plus it makes it easy for the railing.

Well after 5 Days straight we finally got to a stopping point. We got about 75% finished. The front is done and two other sides of the house, minus the columns in front of the garage. Man this Rock Laying stuff is labor intensive! too tired to take a pic today ill post one tomorrow of the progress so far. I love the way it looks but would never do it myself ever again...lol

Finally got the deck finished up. I decided to go the all wood route due to time constraints and it was cheaper. I like it.

I finally have a driveway! I figured the more concrete I have the less grass I have to cut
