electrical problem with 85 4x4 toyota truck

Pull the cluster, amke sure it's plugged in.....
and there's no melted bits of printed circuit.

Did you check them with a voltmeter/test light or just visually?

I'd double-check the gauge fuse.

X2 with volt check....sounds like a problem harness and would look for a new harness to sovle this and future probs...With new I mean NEW, used would be over 20 years old...Think about it...
