Ive got a 98 4.3 liter vortec that i put in my 95 4runner. Im working on the fuel system right now. Fuel supply is 3/8" tubbing and return is 5/16. Im doing new 6AN fuel supply and was wondering if i can go 6AN back? Does it mater on the return if i go with a bigger line?

I don't see how it would matter, it's just a condiut for excess fuel. Just don't go too small for the flow or pressures can spike.

Works fine, that's how I did it. Like the other guys said, you just don't want to go smaller. You don't want to raise fuel pressure in the return unless that's what you're trying to do for some reason in which case there are better ways....
