Well I guess I can call the cage done!!! loller.gif loller.gif I have to put a cross brace under the hood for the front shocks but that is nothing, also threw a seven dollar paint job on most of it. You should have something in the center of your roof. I am guessing that you are trying to retain the use of the sunroof, but having something come thru the roof in a roll over will suck big time.

In reality this started as a tube bed and ended up an exo, I don't plan on rolling which no one ever does that being said this is more of a crawling beer drinking rig than all out acting stupid rolling setup.

I agree with this guy, with the rear 4 link and bigger tires you will be trying harder stuff, the rollover is inevitable.

Re: Re: Some assembly required (A Toyota cab truck rebirth)

With the shocks leaned that much I bet it will have crazy body roll, especially with tri uppers and straight lowers.

Sway bar time :afro:

Another thing is I am out of tube ant the money is going to tires and rod ends for the rear so the roof bars are destined for a later date. But I am sure the design will be improved in as I go. :driving:

Heck with any more roof bars, better make some YETI protection! Opening side looks exposed! skully
Nice build, but i am partial to blue Toyotas!
Keep it going. :afro:

I only had two bolts so I will have to get some more tomorrow before I can start on the other bars :afro: but anyway it won't be long now!!!!

Making huge progress last day or so! I needed some more tabs for the front of the uppers so I made some more tabs.

Then I cut a plate for the frame and to weld the tabs too for some strength. I welded the plate to the frame and then figured y separation and welded my tabs in place.

Tacked on my upper link mounts axle side then set my pinion angle just a fuzz and then measured and cut my links and yes they were the same length first try!

One of the best "transformations" I've seen from a single owner!

Most of the time it's "once a booty fab hack jobber, always a booty fab hack jobber".
