What gear when on trailer?

I have an automatic, so the Jeep is in Park, and the parking brake is set, then I strap it down with straps to the axles. :redneck:

1st. Plus I figure if I get in an accident and the straps break, it'll compression start itself and drive away from the immediate vicinity thus saving itself from further damage. :redneck:

I would recommend leaving the ignition in the "ON" position also.

You guys tie your rigs down? I just park it on the trailer and leave it in gear. Its already parked so why tie it down?:redneck:

ive actually seen that before. VERY scary. the jeep was moving all over the trailer, and tossing the tow rig all over the road....
i think it had a loose chain on the rear, and the winch ran to the front of the trailer...
i dont remember exactly how it was now, but i know it was LOOSE.
