my some what new toy build

ya the onlt way its gonna get done is for me to do it. i cant affprd to pay someone to do it, but why would i when i have most all the tools to do this stuff myself. thanks for the comment. besides half the fun of wheelin is building your rig in my book...

ya it is a definite bonus to have an older brother with the same interests. hey i need some input on a few things. maybe you could swing by some time fri. or this weekend. hows the daddy life treatin you?
 
so im still pluging away at this. waiting on my fuel cell to continue my bed. did an alignment on the front end today. also rolled the truck out side to clean the shop. i still have a ton of **** to do. its seems like every day i find something else i want to do to it. just got to set a limit for right now on what im going to do. maybe do dual cases soon and bobby longs are in the future too. should be getting the motor done on the week i have off between christmas and new years. i lost my license for a few months also last friday. thats putting a little bind on my plans too.:redneck:
 
today i ordered most of what i need to get my toy were i want it to be. i started with trail gear and ordered my slip yoke, diff armor for the rear, my gussets for the front, bump stops, and 14" shock hoops. i also looked into dual case adaptors for the... **** i ran out of toes and fingers to count how many times. i decided to go with marlins for a few reasons. the first is the 32 ball-bearing bearing. i like this idea as it cuts down on slop. i also figure that i havent heard any negative things said about this kit. i went with stock gearing in both cases as i can always add 4.7s later if i need them. i ordered the budbuilt crossmember as i like the counter sunk design. i also ordered twin stick but it is back ordered. im going with twin stick because i have found that 90% of wheeling can be done in 2wd if you have the gear reduction. twin stick will allow me to run 2wd low range and double low range. thats the **** my friend. so the parts will be coming in over the next month and i cant wait. other than that i didnt get much done.:redneck:
 
been working on the bed mostly. got my four mounts done. did some gusseting on the rear fenders. also got my fuel cell almost in. just need to find someone with a break to bend me some straps to hold the cell in the bed. if anyone knows a place that will bend some strap for me please let me know, im trying to stay as local to monroe as i can. also mounted some d-rings on the back. dual case adaptor should be here this week. did some inner fender trimming on the front fenders to make room for longer front shocks. also thinking about running chev springs in the rear. i need to find out were the centering pin is on them. ordered some tread bright last week and it came in on fri. :redneck: thats about it though.....

got a new speed glas auto shading helmet. it is fawking sick. works great. my welds have also improved too. its amazing what being able to see will do for ya. working on my rock sliders today. hopefully get my motor dialed in and maybe in the truck this weekend.
 
marlin is jerkin me around. or else the shipping in the states has gone tits-up. they still claim that they havent recieved their shipment of dual case adaptors. wtf.
 
I really like this build; I read it about once a day and each time I get something else out of it. Very nice!

Any updates?
