Durrr.... why won't my jeep start?? :eeek: :scratchhead:

Durrr.... what's this thingy and where the hell does it go?? :redneck:

I'm on a roll here- 5 or 6 unsuccessful wheeling trips in a row. :booo:

The rig is definitely ready for KOH. :haha:

:haha::haha::haha:
Seriously, what happened????And why on earth did you pull the lines and filter(or is that the pump?)???

As usually happens with my jeep it was working fine then just wouldn't start.

The fuel pump sounded weak then no sound at all, no fuel at fuel rail.

So Stealthrunner towed me down to the parking lot and Money Mark hooked me up with a spare fuel pump. Which worked and got fuel to the fuel rail but still no starty.

So it still needs diagnosing but my "theory" is that is has to do with the auto shutdown relay? I'm thinking no ignition spark without ASD and fuel pump circuits working? Ultimately it needs to be completely rewired, streamlined and simplified so I'm not :scratchhead: in the woods.

You can thank the cameraman for that. :kiss:

Hey Money where's the pics of the huge log crammed up your ass?

Ohhhh, this oughtta be good!!!!:haha::haha::haha:

Hey Pat, check the wiring to your crank sensor-make sure it's not shorted somewhere....this will cause a no park, and no pumpy condition; got me ass kicked yrs ago on a Jeep for this very reason.:haha::redneck:

I don't think mine has a crank sensor. But the first thing I will do is check codes.

In the past I have dropped the tank only to find out the fuel pump was fine so I will also be cutting a big hole in the floor to make a trap door access to the fuel pump. :redneck:

And that fuel pump in the picture is now wired to a toggle switch from rock lights so it will make draining the FULL tank easier. :D

I won't have time to work on it for a couple days but when I do look for stupid questions coming soon in the tech section.

Check the fuel pressure. I don't know about jeeps but chevs need 60 lbs befor they will fire the spark plugs. and if it has 0 pressure it will shut down thinking it is leaking fuel out some where

Just a thought

It has a crank sensor/cam sensor. Sometimes both depending on the year and engine size of the Heep. It is for sure the most common failure I see when it comes to Jeeps. Also make sure your ECM is in a dust and water free. The auto shutdown relay is a possibilty but not that common. Hope to see ya on the trail soon bro. Hope tis helps. Call me at the shop if you need diagnostic help. :awesomework:
