Im trying to keep this truck as clean as I can but also make it work for me. I think I should be able to have fun with her and not beat the **** out of it. I got too much money into it already to just go smash it. This truck is for Me, the wife and dog to go up in the hills and play in the snow or explore some new roads/trails.

We will see how long it lasts.

I gotta get cracking on this cause I want to use it soon. Lots of work to do now.

Moneys sammy is up and running again. We"ll have to get out.

I got a few snow spots but they are up in Darrington area. Snow has not really made it down to the flat lands yet. I need a few weeks to get all this crap bolted up. I still got your number $.

Got a line on some 34x9.5 TSL tires for this thing. I have heard good things about these things.

That is the perfect tire for this rig. There's a set on toyota wheels for $600 on C.L.

Those are the ones, got them for $500, picking them up tomorrow. I think these tires look sweet on these little trucks with little to no lift. Thats the idea, I want to get the job done without lifting the truck if I can. I may still try and perk up the front springs since they have sagged.

Here is a tease pick of a 1st gen with these tires.

Yer gonna want to run some sort of dual beadlock (Inner Air/Staun), as these things do NOT want to stay on the rims at any pressures below about 8psi...Ask me how I know. :redneck: Had an 81 with shackle lift and 34x9.5's yrs ago...ended up trading them for a set of 33x12.5" TSL radials...overall height difference between the 34's and 33's was lesss than 1", AND I could run em at 5 psi! :haha:

Got it in the shop again, spent a little time putting more buggy parts onto the truck. I finished the night with getting it jacked up and tires removed. Had some help from my best bud too. He is a professional seat tester.

Im gonna call it.


4 month until this thing gets the bed ripped off and tube added......

Got the tires last night, they are in great shape. Im going to weld on some lock rings and maybe run a bead of weld on top of the inner safety bump to hold the inner a little better. Should be able to run low psi. More to come.

Run 'em on a stock steel toy wheel (15x6 IIRC) and add the lock ring to them...Those stock toy wheels have one hell of an inner bead, plus it keeps in all under the fenders. :awesomework:

Then pop some baby moons on 'em! :redneck:

wish you would have posted this a few days ago, I had the guy dismount the tires off those wheels cause I didnt want another set of rims laying around.

I just love it when you kill my dreams. Will lock rings really add enough weight to notice? What are my options? I have a set of 15x8 steels and these tires.

I think they would have worked best on those stock wheels they were on.
