I sold my buggy a couple years ago to get something more family friendly.
Something that had 4 seats, windshield and a heater for the PNW.
I ended up with a 98 TJ that was mildly built.
Here are the Specs

Engine: Dodge 5.2L V8 (318ci)
Trans: Dodge 42RE auto
T-case: Jeep NP231 stock with slip yoke eliminator
Frontend: Dana 30 with Nitro chromolly axles,ARB and 4.56 gears.
Rearend: Ford 8.8 with chromolly axles, ARB and 4.56 gears.
Tires: 37" wranglers

Build plans

T-case: Dana 300
Frontend: Dana 60 with ARB and 4.88 gears.
Rearend: Corporate 14 bolt (shaved) with ARB and 4.88 gears.
Suspension: Custom link suspension by Brian Hansen with F.O.A. Coilovers and stretched to 108"-110"
Body: New fuel cell relocated behind rear seat through the floor and new body armor and cage
Steering Full Hydro steering ( no more cruisin the strip with the top down)
Tires 40s or 42s whatever i can find at the time.

Plans can change at any time and as parts come off they will be for sale
excluding front and rear ends they are already sold

It will be a slow build but i will keep updating as the build goes on

Thanks for watching

JP

First thing up for sale will be
37x12.5 r15 goodyear wranglers 60% tread on pretty much brand new wheels with all new lug nuts. As seen in pics $1000 OBO

Second
Fox 2.0 remote res shocks (fully rebuildable)
I will be cleaning these up and measuring for length then will post some pics
I know these things are expensive but since they are older i kinda just want to get some feelers

I was trying to figure out who's rig that was last night. I figured it out this am. The guy that built it goes by stjames151 online.

When jp got it I remembered it as well. It was sitting at pats shop in bremerton getting work done.

You sure you want to put ARB's in this one? Maybe some Detroits if you're ever gonna let Brian drive it. :redneck:

That rig has been around! Was a really well built rig back when James owned it. I know it has sold 2 times since he owned it. Still looks good though. Good luck with the build.

That's funny, Motobilt was like an hour from my house in Florida. Those guys make a crazy Dana 60 truss.

Nice kit. I always hated the rear frame rails and rear spring buckets on my TJ. Factory is really shitty for anything other than stock height.
