UPS Sucks

You can't really blame the company in general for what the terminal's drivers from your area do lol. I order **** all the time that comes in via UPS and never have had a problem. Same goes for USPS, haven't had as many packages come in via Fedex. Maybe there's just a bunch of fawk-ups that live in your area that ended up getting hired on at these terminals molaugh

On the other hand, I work in shipping and we use Fedex 10x as much as UPS through work. Only time we ship via UPS is when we have to bill a customer's 3rd party UPS account upon their request. From my 6 year shipping experience at work, it seems UPS is a little rougher on their packages throughout transit than Fedex.

The driver that left your package at a school, should be kicked in the balls and made to go back and get his GED. :wtflol:

But for real though, as much **** as they make happen all day, every day, day in/day out....it's crazy. It's like controlled chaos, mistakes are expected. But leaving the package at the school just sounded like pure laziness from a douche driver.

And also, as far as destroyed boxes like pictured above, that's more the shipper's fault than the carrier in my opinion. I mean you can't put heavy ass steering components in a shitty single wall cardboard box with little to no bubble pack or whatever and expect it to survive throughout multiple terminals across the US. Everything I box up at work could generally survive a full 20 ft drop to the floor. Double wall boxes and parts properly secured with bubble pack FTW! :dblthumb:

What's funny is when I got stuff delivered to my house they carried it to a school. Now I work at a school and try and get it delivered there I can't make it happen.

Here's my package I received yesterday from UPS. I bought a pair of air shocks of here when I got the the box is saturated in oil and the valve on 1 of the shocks is smashed and leaking.

Again, looks like poor packaging from the vendor on the Fox shocks.

I mean, you don't go to a demolition derby in a Smart Car. :wtflol:

Same thing with some 12" Fox I bought off here shipped usps . Valve busted off found sitting on front steps hanging out of the oil soaked box. Claim filed by sender received payment today. I don't think it's one or the other they all suck. I don't understand how they handle packages are they just throwing them in and out of the trucks. CRAZY..

Basically, yes. If I worked in a UPS or Fedex Terminal, I'd probably be no different. Moving that many packages, day in day out, it's insane. We have a UPS terminal in town and when people get hired on as a terminal worker, you hear the phrase "Yeah, I got a job at UPS being a box slanger." They are trying to do as much work with as little people as possible, just like any other company. When that is a factor, employees sometimes are stretched thin in terms of production, which translates into "do what you gotta do to get **** done and make deadlines." I deal with the same **** at my current shipping job, but to a slightly lesser degree.

Re:

Exactly! Like I said, you don't drive a Mini Cooper to a demolition derby! You also have a potential part in protecting the item(s) being shipped.

Funny this should get bumped up....

The other day I was at the receiving dock at work checking something out and the FedEX truck pulls up. He opens the back door and I was like holy crap. There was 4-5 of us back there and I said just think guys your Christmas presents are going to be in there. He just looked at me and never said a word. Stuff was just piled in there and looked like stuff had fallen off the shelves on the sides. Total mess, no wonder stuff gets damaged and boxes destroyed.

I worked at FedEx for quite some time. I didn't damage one package that I know of and would still hold that true if not hit by tow bastards in the same week. Now I have to sling drugs to addicts, hippies and the working class :)

Looks like the shipper did not package it correctly. That box looks in good shape. Not ups's fault for that one.

I"ve been told if it goes through ATL it had better survive a fall from teh second floor. Package them better. My stuff from teh KC area is almost always perfect. I think in teh south they hire a bunch of DGAF :afro: and you get what you pay for.

You are exactly right. It's should stand as a given, package your item(s) as to where you are confident they'd have to run over it with a delivery truck in order to destroy it, all problems solved and avoided. Let em throw it around, won't matter then. Fragile stickers and markings might as well not even exist also lol.
