Tony Stewart?

It is tragic but shouldn't have been in track.

Yeah racing is all about pushing your machine, bumping tires, voicing your displeasure to a fellow driver etc. But no racer wants to see or be a part of another racer getting killed. This happened fast, in a corner and in low light. I can't help but think that Tony just didn't see the guy until he was right on him and like they say to turn left in one of these cars you cut the wheel right and rapp the throttle. It just seems most likely to me that Tony's innate reaction was to yank right and jab the throttle to try to miss the guy but it was just too late for that move to work. It's a tragedy that someone lost their life but hopefully some good will result from this in the form of mandatory rule changes for driver actions while on the track.

Tony Stewart?

That's not what I got out of reading that article... They weighed in on both sides of the argument and if anything, they favored tony. It is terribly sad that a young man lost his life doing something he loved but, he should have known better than to get out of his car on a dark track and try to pick a fight with a moving vehicle. I hate it for him and his family and friends, hell, I hate it for all parties involved but the fact of the matter is, the young man is at fault here for getting out of his car before race officials arrived.

Right. They did touch on both sides this article did do it right, but there are others out there saying they were actually pursuing charges. I completely agree the guy should have waited until they were in the pits if he was mad enough to fight.

I know everyone is tired of hearing about this but the slo-mo enhanced video shows his hands clearly grab the wing and hold onfor a bit until the rear tire caught his leg and pulled him under the tire.

Good analogy. I've been waiting on someone to start talking about that nonsense. 'Cops shoot man, other men of same race riot the town and loot everything within reach.' Makes perfect since, right?
