Hunting season is close

Worse! 3 litters per year, 9 piglets per litter, they will eat anything they can get their mouth around and they are smarter than any other animal (and some people) in the woods. We are getting them in West Tn, and our farmers are not happy! Deer are bad, but they don't hold a candle to the damage hogs can do! Plus they are hard on deer population (and rabbits, and turkeys, and all the other stuff that is fun to kill and eat)

Very true. There sense of smell and hearing is by far better then a deers. Second they are not afraid of you. Have a few pictures of two boars running together look like twins. I'm sure they have tag teamed a few things for there favor. Neat picture was of one sow running a piglet of another litter off.

Re: Hunting season is close

Just to give y'all kind of a price these hunts usually go for around 3500 to 5g for a 4 day hunt. Depending on what people wanna trade for I don't care if you wanna come stay 2 weeks or until you limit out your tags. We have a place for people to stay and cook out almost every night.

Ya I'm pretty familiar with hunt prices, I've been lookin at a Kansas or Iowa hunt for 2015, I'm in Maine on a bear hunt as we speak... When I get back next week I'll get back with ya! I'm leaving the hotel now for camp and prolly won't have service for a week

this year will be the first year I have really hunted in FL. I joined a hunt club this year on Camp Blanding, which is only open to past or present national guard soldiers...which is nice. This is also the first hunt club I have been in, I am used to hunting farm/family land back in Indiana and so far I have found some nice areas and lots of sign. Been shooting my bow quite a bit...definitely ready to fill the freezer! Plenty of hogs and deer out there as well.....season starts Sept. 13!
