Guns: What Do You Carry

Carry a HECKLER & KOCH USP COMPACT in .357sig.

Tote this sometimes also. Springfield V16 Longslide in .45 :woody:

love that gun Draco....I have the Springfield Armory 1911-A Loaded Model....looks similar to that one but has wood grips

My carry is a Armscor .38special revolver for now....

I carry something a bit heavier. My primary is a Desert Eagle .357 with a Redfield red dot scope. It's a heavy gun with a good attitiude. I feel the weight helps keep the recoil to a minimum if you can hold it up. My back up is more of an intimidator than anything, it's a Ruger Super Redhawk. .44 caliber with a 9 1/2" barrel and a Simmons Prohunter 4x32mm scope. Just show it and situation resolved. I know these are not the most feasible units to carry, but my thought is "why bring a knife to a gunfight"? :dunno:

How do you 'conceal' it.
With something that bulky in your pants, people gotta notice! :flipoff1: :flipoff1:

I just carry it sticking down the back of my pants.

Just looks like I **** my pants and am carrying around a big dookey.

Most people will avoid ya if they think you're packing dookey.

Sorry I don't have any room in the front of my pants that real estate is over capacity

In the great state of Alabama you can go grocery shopping with a hand gun. Just can't try to pay with it. :flipoff1:
I usually leave it in my vehicle where I can get to it in a hurry as I don't work in a SELECT neighborhood. You can where it concealed or on your hip as long as you have an unrestricted license. So Watchout.

So in Alabama, it does NOT have to be 'concealed'?
In Oklahoma, if you have a license, you can carry almost anywhere, but it HAS to be hidden from sight. Hard to do in the summer. :-\

My license reads, "license to carry a legal handgun concealed in the person or in a vehicle is hereby granted to ELMER FUDD...

I have never been questioned it whenever I have it whipped out. :dunno:

Any thoughts on all the new single stack/slim line 9mm/.40/.45s that have came out since BHO took office and the want/need/desire to carry a concealed firearm is at an all time high throughout the land?

I been looking at a Glock 36 (.45 single stack) on the high end

new LC9s Pro (no safeties or BS like on the regular LC9s)
ruger_lc9s_pro_9mm.jpg

or maybe even a SCCY CPX2 (also no safeties vs CPX1)

My Dad carries a SCCY. It is an awesome gun, but it does have a chunky double stack grip. At $265 it was a killer deal though

I carry the Glock SUB-COMPACT .45 Caliber
You say, "but lieutenant dan! glock don't got a sub-compact forty-five..."

And then I say... BOOM!

G39.jpg

It's bad cricket. same frame as the 26/27 but with the .45 GAP slide. Shoots like .45 ACP too, even same ballistics, but in the size of the 9mm/.40
Even got a coworker who likes to reload for me!

Beside a G36...

Four of my friends carry a XDS 45 and I haven't heard a complaint out of any of them. I shot one of them and liked it so much that I plan on buying one soon.

They are single stack and hold 7 rounds.

GLOCK 39
****, that's what I want.

After having a run it with a rather large and persistent black bear while trying to break camp one morning in eastern KY, I would be a lot more comfortable with a .45 than my usual 9mm (I have a bunch of 9mms...)

I can't get into the grip safety myself... not sure why, metal block I suppose.

Glock 39's are dirt cheap. folks practically GIVE them away. Mainly because when they try to sell them... No one wants it. So they get desperate, and dump it low. I've owned two.
Lay in wait, once one becomes available, make offer, and then wait. You'll likely be the only offer.
Oh, and don't believe a sole when they tell you "no ammo available..." because there is. Maybe not at Walmarts. But online and actual armories. Most local shops will have ONE box. They'll replace it when it's sold. Or buy online.
