Re: 4 seater bruiser copy build - family rig

This is where I am today. It will probably take another 2 years to finish. I have future plans to build a bouncer but that will have to wait till the kids are bigger.

Re: 4 seater bruiser copy build - family rig

Thanks im trying to keep the cost low by using all the scrap I have laying around. So far it has turned out fair I think. Especially for the lack of skill I have.

I would really like to have her rolling soon.

Anyone in east TN set up coil over shocks?

Re: 4 seater bruiser copy build - family rig

Are the rear shocks mounted? The mounted width looks lower at the bottom than it is at the top.. If so you may want to consider some mounts like this to get the shock out further on the axle end so you wont have clearance issues

Re: 4 seater bruiser copy build - family rig

It might be the angle of the picture but they are almost the same mounting width. I didnt want it to sit to high so this was the only way I could get the ride height I wanted without serious mods. They are basically vertical at ride height and after some testing they don;t have any clearance issue so far. fl-krawler I know this was one of yours - what are you riding now, if you don't mind me asking - is that your truck in the pic? it looks pretty sweet if so you got a link to build

Currently I have access to a customers jeep to wheel any time I want, but no rig of my own at the moment. I am building this 4 seater for myself http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/general-4x4-discussion/844421-my-new-buggy-build-thread.html but it looks like I have somebody who wants to buy it. I have all the parts/materials to build a new buggy if it does sell, but no time since I am basically a one man show at my shop. I have been looking to add some help, but finding qualified reliable people has proved next to impossible in this area. The pic above is of a customers Ford Bronco. I swapped in a 7.3L, and 4 linked it with 2.5 tons and 66" R2's.

Re: 4 seater bruiser copy build - family rig

I decided to change the back of the buggy to use larger seats and just give it a little bit different look

Re: 5 seater bruiser copy build - family rig

I love those seats too. I love em so much I had to redo the door bar just to fit them. but when everyone is piled in, it will be worth it.
