Quick copy/paste of my build to date. I've been to busy working on it and moving shops to document to much. Been a huge help reading a couple of the build threads on here!

Starting Specs

197something'ish Jeep CJ7
401 AMC, T18, twin stick Dana 300
Dana 44 rear, 4.56 Gears, Detroit Locker, Warn Full Float with Warn solid drive flanges
Dana 44 front, 4.56 gears missing more then a few teeth, detroit locker, broken short side inner shaft
4" BDS SUA lift kit
Worn down cut up 35" Pro Comps on Allied Bead locks

I originally pulled it in to my shop to put a new shaft in the front, and things kind of went to hell from there.

Heres a picture from "before" with the rear suspension that kind of just hung out

The Plan

SOA up front with 51" yota rears. Originally was going to use CJ rears but wasn't happy with them when I tried them
4 link rear with TJ coils (subject to change)
Chevy dana 60 up front, full width, 4.10 gears, Spartan locker, SOLID diff cover, parts mikes arms
14 bolt rear, 4.10 gears, disk brakes, grizzly locker, SOLID diff cover

Before I cleaned up the housing, but heres the disks

Im staying full width for now so I had to outboard the front springs. I did a shackle reveral also. Here are the outriggers for the shackle hangers

Parts Mike high steer arms. I dont understand why, but they sent me the drivers side with 2 holes in it

I've consulted with a bunch of people on suspension designs, going over pro's and cons of shackle reversal up front. I've had a number of people tell me that I was going to need a spendy long slip front drive line. I finally got around to checking out what I had.

I think 22" of slip should work

This was from the day I rolled it to my new shop. I filled it with stuff for the trip over :redneck:

Steering angles at ride height

Clearance at ride height. I've cycled it a few times and everything seems to clear. The box is as far forward as it can go without seriously modding some stuff

They're ruffstuff heims. I think they're the only way to go for heims. $55 for a pair, includes jam nut, high misalignment spacers and tube adapters. I believe they cryo treat the races and they're supposed to last much longer then other heims.

Got all the rear brackets from Pat at Those Guys over here in Bremerton
