I got and absive chop-saw. Or a 4.5" cut-off wheel works just as well. Don't thin I want to use the dry-cut saw however, pretty sure a hardend shaft won't be good n the blade.

A 4.5" cut off wheel works great....only takes a few minutes per axle. Put a little chamfer on the end with the flat of the cut-off wheel then de-bur with a wire wheel.

Thanks guys ...was just a little leary of taking a cutoff wheel to them...doesn't the cutting mess with the heat treat??? The one i need to trim half inch from is superior Evo. but the short side they sent must be kind of a universal short side for two lenghts...every thing lines up exept the splines are a half inch too long.. then the rears are yukon cut to fits....just for your info...:;
