I say sorta because I'm basically just redoing and upgrading a few things, rather than a full on build!! I got this 85 4Runner from Luey (dirtygoat) a couple of months ago. Things have been going slower on it than I would have liked thanks to hurting my back and being laid up for a couple of weeks, but I'm all better now!! Works starting to pick up so I'll finally have some cash to throw at this thing, but hardly any time to work on it!:booo:
Enough rambling, here's some pics.
It was really high with 4" springs, a 4" drop front hangar, and 4" springs with 4" blocks in the rear.uke:
So I decide to make my own springs using 2 rear sets. Thanks Dustin! (mr250twostroke) And Zukkev!
Redneck vise for cutting said springs!:redneck:
I suck at taking pictures while working, so fast forward to springs installed with u-bolt flip kit.
Found out my shackles were now sitting on the frame! So I ordered some boomerang shackles from Sky. Now no more shackle issues!
That's pretty much it for now. I've cleaned up the wiring on the passenger wheel well to make room for my onboard air, and have a bunch of parts waiting to be installed. I've got some 85 Landcruiser rotors, a booster and M/C out of a 93 V6 4Runner and I'll be ordering my V6 IFS calipers next weekend. I've also got to figure out what to do with the rear suspension, since I was only able to bring the front down 3". If I pull the blocks then I'll be an inch too low in the rear!
