I am finally putting the finishing touchs on that box I have been promising the youngster....

and wacthin a little SHOP PORN>>>>>>I LOVE GETTING NEW parts....EVEN if thay are at you pad:haha: :haha:

Ok since I was runing out of parts I figured I would grab one of my bad clutch masters and try to give it a hydralic clutch. The first step was to try and just figure out where in the heck to put it. The first option was down low of the firewall(just about where the inner fender well bolted to the firewall) which would have put it right behind the clutch pedal. But I decided that was just too low and made it suseptable to having things hit it. So I opted for the other option. Up high and outboard of the clutch pedal assy--so I figured I would have to build something to conect to the clutch master. So after some measurements I took a hole saw to the firewall and drilled holes..

And here is how it sits mounted up..

Since the clutch master was close to 3" away from the pedal assy--here is how I modified the pedal. That should hold up find hopefully.

And here is how it looks mounted in the rig

When I get the new clutch master I am also going to add a lil plate to the firewall to help keep it from flexing and causing the sheet metal from cracking...

itll hold, i dunno why your saying hopefully. you should see what my clutch in my DD is held together with (if i even have clutch material left, i think im working strait up steel. :haha: ) lookin good mike. i can only hope my sammi turns out 50 percent as good as jacks. :cool:

:D MIke I just went through the entire thread and seen how quick the rust progression was....what do you think that is from?

BTW....that pedal assembly is a bad ass! :D

Hey Crash, I sent you a PM :D

I'll try to respond to ya today TJ---just playing catchup on all of my big PM's :;

Jacki, I have no idea whats causing the rust. I have never had this problem with any jeeps or toys when I have alot of bare frame. I just have to keep up on getting the metal covered. But that should not be a problem now that most of the frame have been cleaned..

And I still can adjust the pedal assy so I should be able to nail its operation perfctly :;

You never know. This is my first experiance with doing a clutch setup to this nature so I tend to be a lil optimistic but---I also probably overbuilt it a bit too,lol...

Well it was time to get back to workin on the front of the rig. The front of the rig is all stripped, prepped and ready to do something with.....

And here what I was able to get done today. Look at that penis (aka stinger :flipoff: ). I have to still shave a lil off the passenger side due to it sits a tad (1/8") high so that will be taken care of.

And look at that---a purdy winch :D

Here is the passenger side. Everything ties into everything else. The nose should see zero failures as long as jack keeps the jumping down to 5ft launches :clappy: :clappy: :clappy:

Here is the drivers side. There is a recessed cup for the steering box I had to remove to get the fishplate to fit flat against the fame...

And here is the underside..
