• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

shackles

The "ideal" angle for shackles is 90 degrees to the floor as they hang on the wall cause they were replaced with links and coils :haha: :fawkdancesmiley:

45* is a great place to be as a ride hight and
grommit is right with the shackle on the frame is a no no.

I usually take a piece of string and mark it with the overall flat length of the spring. After that I will tie it at the center of the spring hanger bolt and pull it taunt. With this measurement you can tell what the shackle angle will be at full compression (flat spring) This will help you with the shackle against the frame problem.
