WOW Meeting - WED 05/05

Their was a ton of PNW members there. Very interesting to say the least.

three is not a ton. We have WOW show up to PNW4WDA meetings, so why not vice versa? Some action is better than no action. I think the message was "we are all in this together" right?

Having the PNW get involved with what WOW or RTW is doing could be a good thing...

I'm hoping that the fact that the new President for the PNW showing up at a WOW meeting is a sign of good things to come...

Hopefully we can get past the issues of the past and work together to help our sport...

Don't forget, WOHVA was in the house... There's gonna be another rally soon...

Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong but hasnt the PNW4WDA around just a little (48 years or so) before WOW so shouldnt it be WOW should be getting involved in what the PNW4WDA is doing :eeek: Its also my belief that there have been severl PNW4WDA members on the RTW since it started :eeek:

Its Great that Angie made it to your meeting and its great that Brian makes it to most of our meetings. It would be really great If Wow was to join the PNW4WDA:awesomework: A huge ORG. would be much better than a large one so we could spread the work load out as well as the financial burdens of keeping our trails open all under one roof:cheer:

I think what Jim means is "Hey that would be great!!!".:awesomework:

It would probably require some bylaw ammendments and rules exceptions but I think there's a way for WOW to become a member of the PNW4WDA without losing it's seperate identity. Many of the founding members that created WOW did so out of frustration with the PNW4WDA. I don't think all the WOW members would be willing to go lock step with the PNW4WDA BUT, I think it would be advantageous for the two orgs to find a way to continue this spirit of co-operation.

I brought this idea up a year or so ago but I think it was much too early.

There's a great opportunity for mentorship. There's people in the PNW4WDA with fantastic experience and knowledge and a lot of younger people in WOW with a lot of energy, heart and desire for the sport. What some of them need is people to teach them to ropes.

The PNW4WDA needs new, young, energetic members and WOW provides this.

I don't want so see WOW lose it's identity, but I'd like to see both orgs become as successful as possible. It's in the best interest of the sport.

Well said Gibby.

one would think if someone does not like the association or what it stands for at least they would'nt show up to the meeting just to heckle.

My club (Good Time Harry Jeep Club) has their business meeting on the first Wednesday of each month which conflicts with WOW. Last night I had Angie Marek (President of PNW4WDA & WOHVA representative) as a guest speaker to explain WOHVA to my club and educate us on the NOVA funds theft and lawsuit. This lady is passionate and very articulate about 4 wheel drive rights and maintaining the status of our hobby. I had to about cut her short so she could leave for WOW, she is in her element with PNW and WOHVA.

We all have to put our differences aside and get on the same bus. The combination of experience, enthusiasm, and regional passion will prevail. Divide and conquer has been their game plan, we must unite.

Like Pokey has in his sig

I'm not going to get into a pissing match about this...

I feel there is a huge need for WOW in our sport... Some of the things that are of concern to our members may not be a focus of the PNW...
