Re: Christmas gifts

Last Christmas dinner, definitely the best too! I dread going back to work next week.

Got a JD2 model 3 bender :D pretty stoked! Finally get to build a cage and bumpers now.

And various shirts from offroad companies, a couple pairs of pants, new wallet, and a couple other things.

I spent some time with my wife and little ones, but not enough. Took one day for me and left my buggy strapped to an oak tree trying to pull itself out of a landslide?

I gave the wife a 24x36 pole barn to put my stuff in out of her way :dblthumb: I am building a 25.3 caged 63 Chevy II, my wife contacted the guy that is going to build the cage and got the ball rolling on that, will be in his shop January 30. Got a new set of Vise Grips, Nutsert kit but best of all was the canvas top for my crawler that Ray, aka onetonyj, Ray's mom, Caroline and Evan were all involved in getting it done in time for Christmas. Thank y'all for making this a great Christmas and RTR.

My wife suprised me and got this off of lay-away for me. I didn't think I'd have it off lay-away until at least March. Been paying on it for a few months. Ruger Precision Rifle, Vortex Viper glass, Burris Extreme Tactical rings, and Harris bipod. I bored sighted it, but gonna zero it this week if I get the chance.

Told everyone not to get me anything, I don't enjoy getting gifts as an adult. I feel like it it wasted money and I hate wasted money. Tell the wife to please just do something nice for me :cougar: or something. Never sinks in. Got lots of clothes I don't need (not work clothes, can use them) and like $100 between my parents and hers. We got our kids way too much stuff (she did anyway) but I went overboard on a rzr 170. It needs a gasket, it was $1000, so I'm not upside down on it. Got her a massage gift card. I hate the gift aspect of the holiday. Some stuff is great, tons of useless consumer goods is ridiculous. Call me scrooge. We did go to the sheriff's office and get several Christmas angels off the tree and buy stuff for them (local needy kids)

You and I are on the same page. I have yet to buy the gf a holiday or birthday gift. Instead, I say let's just get together and go do something like nice dinner and a night on the town or something. Several have told me "you won't have her long...." and this was our 2nd Christmas. I find it dumb as **** for two people to spend the same amount of money on each other. I don't want **** that I can't buy myself. Kids deserve gifts until they are old enough to work. I will buy gifts for friends who get married, housewarming gifts, or are having a baby, because those are usually financially tight times for most and it directly helps them out. Not just a material gift for the fawk of it, because yer supposed to on certain days of the year.

I say it's Christmas year round at my house, because if there is something I want, I will find a way to buy it.

Something I'd love to end up with soon. From everything I've seen/read you'll have no regrets on it!

I got some buggy parts, cash, eBay gift cards for buggy parts, a couple pairs of jeans, and some tools. All in all a good Christmas. Ended up getting a damn cold the day after Christmas then had to rush my mother in law to the hospital Saturday night. Everyone's still kickin though.

Yea Chris she is way too good for the likes of me and if I were to ever sell my rig that top would never go with it, way to special to me with everyone being involved to make it happen. By the way the knife you made for your son is probably the coolest gift I have heard of so far. Please carve an Alabama A into the handle of mine. RTR

Haha. Thx Shawn. It was a labor of love. We will wait to see if he wants to go "down there" to school before I start carving on the handle. :stir:
