In all honestly lately ive found myself checking hl less and less. Alot of it has to do with work. Here lately it just seems like ive been covered up at work and you people arent important enough to me to burn up my free time when im at home. :flipoff1:

It's just the off season.....not many wheel...or LIKE to wheel/work on hobby **** in this weather. Once late March/April hit, we'll be back in the groove and bitchin' bout how it's too damn hot to wheel.

October / November are my favorite months to do stuff.

Drag race / autocross forums are the same way. Smack talk...."post random picture / craigslist / YouTube / wife tits / girlfriends ass" threads start getting more action during these off months.

One might say I've analyzed this stuff before. It's what I do. I'm not a trend setter, I'm a trend plotter.

If you look at the stats, things are kinda slower than the past.......Ever since the Masons took this place over.....It's the whole Social Media thing taking over I guess.

Yea, it seems like "auto forums" are the carburetor to Facebooks fuel injection.

I've tried looking at Facebook car forums....that's how I shopped around for that Procharger and ended up letting vendors battle it out. It's just such a hodge podge of crap. Mostly teens and lower 20-somethings with Bank of M&D money and just flat out ****ing idiots.

Same stuff comes up 20 times a week...

1. Who's got a discount code....bout to order 3 dollars worth of parts.
2. Im bored...post picks of cars with 23% tread life left on right rear tire and with chin spoiler
3. No rush to sell....83 Blazer....10bolt....new motor mount from junkyard on drivers side, 10,000$ I know what I have.
4. XXXXXX is a piece of ****. Bought cold air intake from XXXXXX said it was like brand new....hose clamp showed it had been turned twice. Won't give my 30$ back.
5. How do you XXXX on our cars? "Google it"

...and goes on. I try to educate myself the best I can, but I've been finding more and more I just call a reputable shop and listen to them. Which basically goes against a lot of what I used to think. Shops were stupid/still learning way back in my serious modding days. Now it seems there are like 3 or 5 places that know their **** and you just do what they say and magical things happen to make your life easier.

I do almost all my researching on forums first to see what works and what doesn't....Can't really do that on FB.
Sure you have to wade though alot of BS at times on forums...But it's far better than some of the **** I've seen on FB.
I've learned over the years (From bad experiences) not to ask questions while ordering. I've done enough looking to know what I want.

About the only sellers I would listen to would be someone like Power Driven Diesel just because they are the 12 valve gurus of the world.
