Bare with me y'all, I'm no fabricator (wish I was) and the stuff below is not anything particularily amazing but it sure brings me a lot of satisfaction when I'm out in the garage making stuff happen on my buggy that I feel are improvements (w/ my own 2 hands plus a little help as well) Have...

    Thank you BNS Fabrication

Just wanted to thank Keith again for finding some time for a few little 'fab' items on my buggy. One call to Keith (per Bunk's recommendation) about a week ago and I was able to bring the buggy over to BNS today (a Sunday morning of all days/times) for a perfect pillow block mount and heavy duty...

Valve adjust on chevy 4.3 v6

1989 Chevrolet Blazer. Sounds like I've got at least one or two valves needing adjustment on the passenger side bank (considerable tapping). I'm mechanically inclined and have or will purchase the necessary tools for the job but would like to know if anyone has adjusted valve lash on this...

Early Christmas present - Marine headunit

Thank you wifey. Nifty little set-up that I'll be installing in the buggy. Everything on the face is waterproof...fold-down face for CD and IPOD controls built in as well as aux in for other units. Just thought it was neat looking and ends up being quite functional as well. Terry

    Two products I recommend

As I'm going through the buggy fixin' some stuff, I thought I'd mention a couple of products that I've purchased and installed that I would recommend to anyone that might be considering or need them. 1. Differential cover: Crane High Clearance. Design lives up to the name. Cover structure...

Unfortunately, when I was in the middle of the BYS trail, my transfer case shift cable end snapped off the end of the shift lever. Anyone know where I can purchase cable that would be appropriate for this type of application? Transfer case is an NP231 if that matters. Terry

    Removal/Replacement of Anti-Rock bushings

A few folks on Sunday tried to help me track down this obnoxious squeaking/creaking sound in the back of my buggy. It seemed to be coming from the Anti-Rock swaybar bushings but we weren't sure. Anyways, I pulled the arms off the splined ends of what looks like an axle shaft to get a better...

    Reiter - 8/17/08

Stoked to have finally got my Jeep back together enough to take it out again. Had to replace the balljoints, re-arch my front leafs (thanks Aalbu brothers), and fix a few other little annoyances. I'll be trying to get to the main lot around 9 or 10am in case anyone will be headin' out there...

Dana 44 upper ball joint adjusting sleeve

Once the knuckle is back in place in the "C", the lower ball joint nut has been tightened and it's time to torque the threaded adjusting sleeve retaining the upper ball joint, I'm not 100% sure what the proper torque value is for the adjusting sleeve. I've installed Spicer ball joints top and...

    Race/Seal Installation Tool

I'm rebuilding the wheel hub on my Dana 44. I've pulled the inner and outer old races and bearings out so I can replace them with fresh/new units. While I did pick up a race/seal installation tool from Action Autoparts, I quickly realized that the discs included are too small (i.e. the...
