I need a new battery for my TJ. Has winch and some lights. I have not been too impressed with the life I've gotten out of the last two optimas I've bought.
What else is good, and where is the best place to get it local?
I have been chasing a problem for a while. 2005 TJ Rubicon 4.0 six speed. When any temp controls are on that involve the AC compressor (Defrost and AC) the engine will surge up about 500-700 rpms no matter where the throttle is. When just regular heat is on there is no surge in throttle. This is...
Looks like there is a chance of 1 to 3 inches on snow accumulation tonight. Should make the trails a little fun. Anyone want to go up in the morning? I'm thinking 7am at the chevron or 730 at the entrance parking area.
Gate will be open at midnight.
Meeting at the gate at 1130 pm Saturday night.
We will need chainsaws.
There will still be snow, so come prepared.
Winch and lockers advised.

Snow Wheeling 9 March 12
Going up to play in the snow on the FS roads near Carbon River/Surprise Lake/Coplay Lake area. I will be at the Burnett Chevron at 9pm. Post up if you want to go.
There was a lot of fresh snow up there last weekend and the central and southern Cascades are supposed to get another 12" by Saturday afternoon.
Leaving Shoppette on McCord at 0800.
Can meet up at locations along the way from Spanaway to Elbe on Mountain Highway.
Post up if you want to go.
Me and Adam decided to go play in the snow yesterday evening. We went up on the FS roads near Coplay Lake. On our way up we ran into a surprise. These people never learn, and why someone would be pulling a horse trailer and horse up in the snow when 7"-14" was being predicted for the night is...
Anyone want to get together for a snow wheeling trip this evening/tonight. I am game for anywhere in the Copper Creek/Skate Creek/High Rock Areas, Surprise Lake Area, or Greenwater Area.
I am going to go somewhere so post up if you want to go and have input on location.
We went to Copper Creek last night/this morning. Made it all the way to the top. We didn't get any pictures because we both forgot our cameras. There was about 2 feet of snow all the way up top and the snow sucked bad. As it is now, it isn't worth the drive out there.
The meeting was held tonight. Most of the topics concerned snow mobile issues for the snow park up on FS RD 70. It was exciting.
As far as Evans Creek, the issues addressed were the need for updated maps and information before the reopening. They agreed it was necessary and will start the...
Me and Adam made a run up to Surprise Lake on Saturday. We wanted to get in some snow wheeling and we decided to attempt the lake again. This was my third attempt since it started snowing up there. Well we finally made it.
We had a great time. Here are a couple of videos of us trying to get up...
Me and Adam (Hickboii) went on a short run today. We attempted Surprise Lake but was denied because it was pretty much just ice on the rocks. He had his little ones with him and it was just too dangerous. We decided to just run the FS roads to the top. After weaving in and out of stuck vehicles...
Don't forget that Evans Creek is closed until April 1st 2012 :booo:
Evans Creek ORV Area Seasonal Dates-

I believe the only way we will become one voice to protect our usage areas is to become more educated as well as being involved. This is all of the legal documentation and public notices for the changes that were recently put into place at Evans Creek ORV. If you have questions about what...
