    NWW member rigs......

Uploaded one of my brothers rig (pre lift and tires) from Tahuya a couple months ago since I haven't taken my Runner out yet and driveway wheeling doesn't count.

What is the best "offshore" brand winch?

Call their 800 number, it was only 50 bucks extra and he claims it covers everything down to the wire breaking and if something does go wrong it will just be a straight exchange not sending it in for repair.

What is the best "offshore" brand winch?

I got the Smittybilt 8k for 350 with a lifetime warranty from 4wheelparts, I've heard about the freespool lever but 4wp isn't going out of business anytime soon and apparently they're really cool about honoring the warranty.

    A notice I recieved today.

Just saw this and went to check it out hoping to bid on that Warn recovery gear but don't see it on there and don't really need anything else they've got since most of it's for Jeeps and motorcylces.

    Walker Evans beadlock ring

Shouldn't be a problem since the outer ring doesn't really rest on the alluminum wheel, can't imagine corrosion would be too big of an issue either way as it's just a wheel.

    User fees

I would have no problem paying up to 25 per day on the trails, I spend more than that on coffee in 3 days and wheeling is a whole hell of a lot more fun than coffee will ever be. But an annual fee wouldn't be worth it to me since I don't get to go out too often and it wouldn't be worth $100+...

    DNR Immunity Law email campaign

Sent, didn't get the e-mail but it probably got lumped into my spam folder but saw the posting in CC. Also joined the Facebook group and invited everyone on my list to join too.

    Got a Q' about lockers

If I had the money Detroit front and keep the lunch-box rear until it breaks then grab some spiders and weld it up. If you've got the money selectable is the nicest option but they have more things to go wrong than the detroit does.

    Public Meeting

Sounds entertaining but with the drive up there during rushhour and with me starting work in Renton at 9 I think it's just not gonna be feasable for me to make this one. Maybe if it were on a Friday night i'd be able to go but I think i'll just stick to hitting up the work parties whenever they...

    ORV Leadership

I'd love to get out and do more for the wheeling effort but as it sits with graveyard shift most of the meetings/get togethers are either too early for me to get too or so late I'd have to miss beginning of shift. I've had the pleasure of attending only one clean-up so far but hopefully soon...

Results of first time beach driver....First time offroad exp

Me too, except I was driving a 94 maxima and only got stuck when I hit the soft section at the exit. I miss all the fun of sliding sideways at 25 mph out on the beach :redneck:

    Trailgear---vs---Marlin Crawler

From what i've seen Marlin products are better quality (at least the stuff he has made) but if you can't afford him then Trail-gear is a decent substitute until you get more cash.

    Land Cruiser v8 hedders?

Depends on your steering set-up, I had the standard block hugger style from Summit on mine but when I went to the Saginaw box my new shaft rubbed and I didn't feel like clearancing 2 tubes so I just put my ramhorns back on it.

    73 fj40

I'm with Lamar on this one, the F series engine although underpowered will outlast anything else you could put in there. If you're not going to go much bigger for tires you can convert over to a toyota power steering and it should last you just fine. Check rear sill and frame all the way...

    Cummins vs Duramax vs PowerStroke

My Duramax is great but I've already had to replace both front bearing assembly's on my 03' with 90k on it and they're not cheap.

    Heated seats problem

So I went out to check the wiring and the orange wire looks good, where is the control module so I can start to rule out what's causing the problem? Also it's kinda strange but for some reason my seats forward/backward switch is now reversed, have to push back to go forward and forward to go...

Figured that would get your attention :haha: Yeah, they're memory seats.

    Heated seats problem

Big help there :flipoff: Well I would take it to the shop but I'm not really in the mood to pay some joker to sit there and stare at it because they don't know how to diagnose problems anymore.

    Heated seats problem

Okay, been having an issue with my heated seats lately and hoping someone on here would know where to start. I've got an 03' GMC 2500HD and the drivers side seat heater doesn't want to stay on, the passenger side works fine unless I try to turn on the drivers seat then neither will stay on...
