Night shift got me all ****ed up. On day shift I'd get off at 3:30, get home 3:45, nappin by 3:55. 2nd shift I get off at midnight, get home 12:15, feel like I'm on meth til 2, fall asleep at 2:30, wake up between 11 and noon feeling like a lazy and have to be back at work by 2:45. Feels like an entire waste of 24 hours.

Been there, done that....and it sucked!!!! Used to work a 3:30pm - 4:00am shift. Felt like a freaking zombie all week! :****:

Piss on 2nd shift,I got 2 and half more days of it then start back on 1st next week but 3rd shift is coming around in October..

I go in at 2am and it ain't easy getting up that earlier but it's better than feeling lazy because night shift is so hard to be productive on.

One of the coolest natural observations in life. Watching dirt dobbers do their thing and learning they have no interest in stinging humans. Then learning that dirt dobbers will kill wasps as well as eat their larva from their nest like a wild pack of blacks whose lives matter as they loot stores in their community.

Either way, pretty dang cool to know that where you have dirt dobbers you have no wasps so they are a welcomed little booger in any shop I'm working in.

never been stung by a mud dobber. I let them do their thing. Do they eat spiders? seems like when I break a nest up to clean something up there are normally tiny white colored spiders in there.

those demonic bastads fill every hole they can find at my place, air tools, vacuum lines, manifold bolt holes, shotgun barrels, and the worst one is wall outlets. then there is the piss ants infesting all of my drills, grinders, and light switches; not to mention if you set an open drink down for more than 3 minutes

Along the lines of cool natural observations.
Hummingbirds are cool to watch... I believe I have read they are the only birds that fly backwards.
But dang, those suckers are territorial and mean towards each other. We have 5 or 6 that come by our feeder and they will actually attack each other. I have witnessed one hanging on to another one's wing and drive it to the ground and sit on it. Kinda giving it that look of: "No BEEEOTCH, that's MY nectar."

They catch spiders (and other bugs) and put them in the mud nest so that the larva has something to eat when it hatches.
