I based mine off of what is probably a factual real world number for the programmers. The Quad Adrenaline claims +180hp on the chip with an intake. Add a Fass for $600 and I'm only in $1000. Factor in that my truck is still running at its stock rated HP and I'm at 400hp for $1000. Real world...

What year cummins? Injectors, programmer, lift pump, exhaust, intake, little tuning and I can sit damn near if not over 400. Thats under $2000 easy as well. How much are 7.3 injectors again?

I'm thinking theres more to it than that. If high horsepower is more desirable than why don't they just run gas engines in big rigs?

Exactly. Don't **** around with upgraded vp-44's. They really don't help enough to justify the cost. Most of the HO vp-44's wont even hold over 500hp reliably, yet the stock one will. Keep it stock vp-44 or p-pump that bitch:awesomework:

if it's the Injection pump (vp-44) you can find the part for $1000 with a warranty and install it in around 6 hours with basic tools. It's not too hard and $4000 is WAYYY too much.

Same here. I hear they don't like full size rigs too well, but for a good all around tire they are hard to beat.

Purely my fault:redneck: My box was wire tapped to the quad. I did an extended WOT run on power level 10. My shitty lift pump couldnt keep up and starved the injection pump. p0216 code, hard starts, excessive white smoke, and limp mode followed the next day:booo: New box isn't wire tapped...

98.5 cummins 86k miles, quad adrenaline tuner, exhaust, intake, airtex fuel pump. Fried a vp44 on power level 10 WOT. Since then nothing so far. Had it for almost 2k miles now so we'll see what all pops up. Tranny is slipping a little.

Really? **** I just ordered a full rebuild kit with water pump, oil pump, timing setup, pistons, seals, and bearings from em back in october:booo:

I got my rebuild kit for me engine at rocker arm supply out of Spokane. All my axle rebuild parts are coming from either TG or Marlin.

Same thing I've heard. The only complaint I've seen is them blowing out when people are towing with a full size rig on them...
