I've always heard they are known for blowing headgaskets, but other then that how are they? do they have much more power/torque then the 22RE? MPG? how bad is it to change the head gaskets? I'm fairly good with a wrench but not a great mechanic by any means.

#1. is the turbo 22RE good for wheelin or just another thing to mess up? #2. Can thier automatic tranny be built to handle mild wheelin duties or is it just too weak? any aftermarket support for them?

are they the same on all years that came with the solid front axle?
