You can't fix stupid.

I guess this is sorta the issue with safety, liability etc... Reiter is like that awesome rock wall at rei with saftey everywhere, as opposed to being out in the wilderness.

There is common sense (cage, seatbelt, disable airbags) and then there is a little over the top (helmets for enclosed 4x4s .. buggies are diff) , and parks that are engineered to not let you do something too stupid.

I like going out into the unknown . And sometimes not being so safe can be really fun, as long as you don't hurt someone or yourself too bad
 
I can say the same thing for not putting my shoulder belts on.

I find my self in 4 out of 5 points more now than ever

The height of safety is the absence of a passenger seat.

This wins. I guess as I read this thread I see a lot of different opinions.
